Take A Closer Look!

The accompanying notes explain some general information relevant to the revolving images.

Fire Stopping

Common issues raised in fire risk assessments relate to the construction of protected enclosures, such as electrical meter cupboards.

The photos show re constructions of services using Gyproc fire-line plasterboard, with fire and smoke resistant access hatches installed to ensure full access is still available to the services enclosed.

The Gyproc board is then finished with decorative edge trim and painted in a colour of the client’s choice.

Fire Curtains

Buildings of all sizes can benefit from fire curtaining where appropriate.

The photo shows the principal of a tightly fitting fire curtain within a wooden roof structure. However this may be equally suited to smaller residential terraced properties where roof voids adjoin, larger properties such hotels, schools and industrial units, or indeed any building where sectional containment of fire is a must.
