Following a fire door inspection and a recent fire risk assessment, it was recommended that the 14 communal door sets in this seven-story residential block be replaced with new certified FD-30 door sets. Our project involved the careful removal and replacement of the existing door sets on a daily schedule over a two-week period.

LAC Services supplied the door sets from one of our trusted, certified manufacturers. All doors were factory-hung, painted, and certified under the BM TRADA Fire Door Manufacturing Scheme. Installation was carried out with minimal disruption to residents, working around their schedules where required. Once installed, our skilled decoration team completed the finishing touches, such as making good any affected walls and decorating architraves.

Upon completion, we provided the client with a comprehensive manufacturer's O&M pack and a fully documented BM TRADA fire door installation certificate, with one detailed report for each door.

As the building exceeds 11 metres in height, it falls under Regulation 10, requiring quarterly fire door inspections. We therefore continue to carry out inspections every three months, maintaining full digital records to ensure a complete “golden thread” of compliance and safety for our client.
